The legendary TAC-2 is officially back.
Built for players who demand precision and built to survive just about anything, the Commodore TAC-2 revives one of the most iconic joystick designs of the golden age of home computing, that was famously “tested to 3 million moves without failure”. Its unmistakable design and legendary toughness earned it a permanent place on the desks of Commodore and classic-gaming enthusiasts. Now Commodore is officially bringing the legend back; faithful to everything that made the original unforgettable, while refining it with carefully engineered improvements worthy of its legacy.
The new Commodore TAC-2 stays true to the original while improving where it matters. Commodore’s new steel shaft is engineered to be even stronger than the original TAC-2’s copper tire valve shaft – without changing the legendary feel. For purists, the original two colorways are back just as they used to be, sans LEDs, with three new Commodore styles that add those soft glowing LEDs to the fun.
The Commodore TAC-2 also features a longer cable (though it’s not about the size) that adds freedom to play. And for the chicken-eyed among you, Commodore’s Chicken Lips logo is molded right into the 9-pin plug.
